May Jag Blast

Letter From the Principal

Dear MAE,

It is hard to believe we are entering our last month of the 20-21 school year. We have certainly lived up to our Better Together motto this school year. I want to say a special thanks to our staff members and am so excited to honor them for Teacher Appreciation week.

I want to say a special thanks to all of our families. Many principals cannot say that they can truly count on their parents. I can, though. Your grace, support, understanding, hard work, high expectations and positive attitude have made this year a success. We could not have done it without you. Never have those words rang so true.

I also want to thank all of our little Jags. The kids have truly amazed me this year, and I have appreciated every day they were able to be in this building with us.

The final month of school can be hectic. Please keep your routines in place. Please arrive on time wearing a clean and comfortable mask, bring your charged device each day, check your folders daily, complete all homework assignments, and make sure the kids get a good night's rest. I also ask that you reach out to us with any questions or concerns you have during this last month. My number one goal is for us to work together and finish strong.

Many thanks,

Melissa Philley
