MAE Jag Blast, December 2023

Message from Principal:

Happy Holidays, MAE!

We have so many wonderful festivities planned for December including the Holidays around the World units, our 1st grade performance, the AR reward event for 1st and 2nd graders, Breakfast with Santa, and our Holiday class parties. It is going to be a fun season, and we plan to use the magic of the holidays to motivate and excite students about learning.

Our 2nd 9 weeks of instruction concludes when we dismiss on December 22nd, so learning and instruction are both still a focus this month. Please arrive on time each day and ensure your child is prepared and has had a good night’s sleep. I know the holidays are very busy, but please continue to read to and with your child and complete practice assignments at home. Thank you for your continued support of our behavior and academic expectations. We must all continue to work together to ensure we maintain the success we have become accustomed to at MAE.

It has been a wonderful semester in so many ways, and we are so grateful for all of our MAE families. Thank you again for all you do to make our school the special place that it is.

December 19th - Last day to meet AR goal!

Students must earn their points AND at least 80% comprehension average to participate in the AR Party on December 21st. We will need volunteers for this event, so stay tuned!

December 22nd - PJ Day, Winter Holiday Parties, & 60% Day

Dismissal begins with car riders loading at 11:25. Buses will roll at 11:30. Please make all early check-outs before 11:00 that morning.

Jan. 9 Students return from the holiday break.

Jan. 11 Report cards are sent home.
